The Vancouver East Detached House Market is still one of the strongest markets in Vancouver. The average price increased over last month and last year landing in the mid to high $900,000’s. If this market sees good inventory, it will have a lot of interested Buyers. Anything in Cedar Cottage, or around Main St typically sells fairly quickly and at a good price. Given the upcoming holidays, many Seller’s are choosing to hold off on listing their homes until the New Year, with many Buyers waiting anxiously for a good home. Given the 33′ x 100′ lot, you can built a 2100 sqft 2 or 3 storey home. Though old, the house is livable as it is now. It was listed for $679,900 and sold 10 days later for $662,000.
The most expensive East Vancouver House sale last month was a home and included laneway home at East 29th and St. George. This 3400 sqft home, and 592 sqft laneway home were built in 2013, and have a total of 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and mountain views. The home was listed for $1,749,000 and sold less than a month later for $1,675,000.
